Message cylinder temps and rule that out ? Do you have more data that you have not shared ?

Your issue could also be a function of ignition timing / high RPM on that particular cylinder.

Why not get a knock box and confirm that you don't have any detonation ? Tail tale sign is the piston skirt issue you stated about - this can't be do oil starvation. At the minimum - run EGTS on both banks for data w/memory peak hold.

I postulate - "If you reduce ignition timing on your programs you will have less bearing issues." At the minimum, get a knock box and confirm conjecture rule out other possibilities w/data. Knock box is cheaper than swapping bearing every 20k miles.

Additionally, what you are doing by shimming the oil pump pressure relief valve ..based on what I am reading ..can't be good at cold start up when most of us let the Z warm up at idle before driving / raising RPMs.

I know this is going to sting, so hopefully you don't get your panties in a bunch ....

What confidence would you have in a Z shop that can't keep their own motor together ?
